A buffer Ne-Yo hits a high note

Ne-Yo’s chart impact has become so inconsistent lately that it’s difficult to remember the time when he was one of the leading R&B artists in the music industry. However, during his appearance on the Good Morning America Summer Concert Series today, he reminded us of his former glory.

In addition to his failed R.E.D. single, “Don’t Make Em Like You”, Ne-Yo performed the songs “Closer” and “Miss Independent” for the Central Park crowd. Yet, what was most evident about his GMA concert was how the audience, which comprised people of various generations, knew all the words to his earliest R&B hits. Something Ne-Yo should consider before he records another generic Pop song…
