Producer/songwriter Naughty Boy thinks Britney Spears has the potential to change popular culture. The same entertainer who never sings live, can’t perform her once famous choreography and hasn’t done anything sonically progressive in years? Yes, that Spears, and we will get the first glimpse of the magic in just a few weeks.

While chatting with Digital Spy, Naughty Boy revealed that he has been working alongside William Orbit to craft an album that will have a lasting impact on the music scene. “It was Orbit who approached me to work on it and he is involved in the album.,” he explained. “It’s not out for another couple of weeks, but we’ve just started working on tracks for her until the studio session.”

“[Spears] is one of the only few who can really change the pop scene with what she does,” Naughty Boy continued. “Those are the things that excite me; what can you do with popular culture?” Well, since Spears simply shows up in the studio and mumbles through thick auto-tune, I’m asking myself that question as well.

Seriously, Naughty Boy said himself that he is currently crafting track for Spears, and although she previously indicated that she is developing her skills as a writer, I wonder how involved Spears really is in the creative process. Let’s just prepare ourselves for a collection of wonderfully produced material similar to Femme Fatale with an added ballad for the sake of being “deep.”
