Lady Gaga’s “Applause” single cover

This should give you a glimpse of the competitive upcoming fall season! Just hours after Katy Perry’s lead Prism single, “Roar”, surfaced on the web, a short snippet of Lady Gaga’s new song, “Applause”, was released and it whipped her fans into a frenzy.

“Applause” will impact iTunes in its entirety on August 19 with its parent album, ARTPOP, being made available for preorder on the same day. Gaga will perform the song for the first time at the 2013 MTV VMA on August 25; months before ARTPOP arrives in stores on November 11.

Now, this snippet of “Applause” is far to short to properly judge but does give us just a small taste of what’s to come from the Pop megastar’s new era. Listen to it below:
