Mario’s “Fatal Distraction” single cover

Despite receiving heavy support on Urban formats, Mario’s “Somebody Else (Ft. Nick MinaJ)” failed to crack the Billboard Hot 100. So, the crooner has lined up a new song called “Fatal Distraction” that he hopes will better his chances of scoring a much needed hit.

“Fatal Distraction” is basically a Drake song with a much better vocal performance by Mario. Fluttering into his impressive falsetto, Mario provides an interesting contrast to the dark, haunting arrangement and brings special feeling to the lyrics of subtle anguish.

Mario will release his Evolve album in October and he promises that it will be a mix of the very best elements of R&B that he has studied during his break from the music scene. Listen to “Fatal Distraction” to determine if he’s on the right track:
