Christina Aguilera joined The Roots on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon for a performance of “Your Body” last year and was soon followed by Mariah Carey with “All I Want for Christmas is You”. Last night, however, was Robin Thicke’s turn to revamp his music with classroom instruments and he did it with style.
An elementary school classroom isn’t exactly what most people imagine when they hear the racy lyrics of “Blurred Lines” but Thicke took us all back in time as he crooned over the melody of a xylophone. Expect the song to enjoy a healthy chart boost from all of the singer’s recent promotional efforts. Indeed, it has already been #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for 8 weeks and it will likely stay at the top for another week (or 3).
