Solange sells her music to buy Diana Ross wigs.

Despite cancelling the remaining dates of her European tour last week, Solange’s schedule doesn’t seem to be showing any signs of slowing down. In a recent interview with Billboard, the 27-year old singer dished on her new album and her independent label, Saint Records.

“I grew up seeing how the music business works from very different sides and I’ve conjured up a lot of knowledge to apply”, she said regarding Saint Records.  “There’s so much magic happening right now on an independent level and I’m excited to be attached to that.”

Solange also revealed exciting details about her upcoming album. “I’m trying to stay motivated because I know it took 4 years before my last record came out”, she joked. “That is not happening — it’s gonna come out next year.” That’s right, no new music from Solange until 2014.
