If you’re eager to see an entertainer deliver a show packed with spontaneous moments, fresh ideas and great crowd interaction, do yourself a favour and don’t waste your money on a Beyonce concert. Indeed, as proven by her appearance at the Made in America Festival, this diva has little to offer except recycled routines.
Over 60,000 patrons flocked to the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia to attend the Budweiser-hosted Made in America Festival, which was headlined by Beyonce. However, those who previously booked a spot for The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour were disappointed to see her recycle the entire show with little changes beyond her saying the name of their city.
Yes, the woman heralded as the greatest thing since the invention of the iPod and the second coming of Michael Jackson only did what has made her popular for the umpteenth time – flipped her hair, addressed the audience under the direction of previously planned times and moved like a robot to the same routines she has been doing for months. On the bright side, at least Beyonce had a new hairstyle for the event.
Those of you who remember Beyonce’s appearance at the 2013 Essence Music Festival know that many of the attendees had similar complaints about her show. Hopefully, they were wise enough not to endure the same robotic jig a second time. Watch Beyonce at the Made in America Festival below:
