US Charts: Adele Dominates All Competition

11 weeks. That’s the number of occasions Adele has dominated the Billboard 200 since the release of her ’21′ album on February 22nd, a first for any artist since 2008.

’21′ has held to top spot for 11 non-consecutive weeks and sold 2.75 million copies in the US as the 2011′s best-selling release to date. In the last 7 days the record sold over 77k units with a 1% increase in sales, ensuring that it maintained it’s lead on the tally.

Meanwhile, on the Billboard Hot 100, her polar opposites LMFAO also continue their rule at the chart summit with ’Party Rock Anthem (Ft. Lauren Bennett and GoonRock)’ selling yet another 209k and garnering 143 million audience impressions. See the leading Urban/Pop releases from the top 10 of both lineups below:

    To the hater above me…. People who Love real songwriters and vocalists like myself are buy her album. Are u mad that Adele is out selling Beyonce???? (Adele’s album came out months ago btw) and she is still doing better than Bey. We all know Bey doesn’t write her own songs as she claims. Anyways Keep Killing the copetition Adele.

    Adele’s still selling due to word of mouth. I know at least three people who bought the album just from riding in the car with me lol. Its the best promotion that an artist can get.

    I’m happy that true talent is winning, however, the album ain’t all that. I mean c’mon i don’t get why it continues to be #1 i just don’t fucking get it.
