Beyonce’s ’4′ Set For #1 Debut
Beyonce fans will have reason to celebrate next week as their favourite artist’s new LP, ’4′, is on track for an impressive debut. Despite not scoring any top 10 singles from the record to date, the album is is predicted to nab the top spot on the Billboard 200.
’4′ is expected to sell between 275k to 300k copies after its 1st 7 days in stores. However, this marks a sizable decrease from the 463k of her previous album, ‘I Am…Sasha Fierce’, and will likely be her lowest opening sales to date.
Still, these figures may increase following her MTV ‘Year of 4′ documentary that will also air on BET and Vh1 tomorrow at 7pm ET as well as her high profile appearance on ‘Good Morning America’ on Friday. Who the run charts? Beyonce!

The haters were expecting her to flop. Yeah right! Bey proves time and time again why she is relevant. Even with a first flop single she still manages to sell and not only that the quality of “4′ is brillant. Got my copy on the day it came out. This album is her very best and I love the entire piece of work. My fav tracks 1+1, Party, I Care, Rather Die Young. Schoolin Life, and Lay Up Under Me.

Iam glad Bey is gonna be No.1 around the world as this album is Sick. Iam sad that her first week numbers are not bigger. I wanted at least 400,000.

as much as i am happy that she will be nos 1 as a bey stan i am disappointed at the nos, nobody of beyonces status should be selling below 300K even if the album leaked a zillion years prior, she deserves and has to sell better, below 300k is not sth i will boast of as a bey stan, i hope she does better

Trent you should also state that since the album leaked a month in advance this is quite a feat. If I’m not mistaken when Britney leaked 2 wks in advance she only ended up selling in the 100 thousands. But like you did state, I’m pretty sure with her American promotional endeavors starting tomorrow that number is a very tentative estimate.

I love beyonce and yes “4″ is a good cd..but I really want beyonce to stop working with the dream! run the world and 1+1 have the worst lyrics…I’m sorry! Countdown, love on top,I care,dance for you are amazing though…just my opinion#that is all

Those figures are low and it’s no surprise since her promotion had mainly been magazines. Anyway it’s Beyonce and anything she touches turns to gold. The album will be successful

Don’t be so hard on yourself. It’s just first week numbers. 275k isn’t bad and I’m sure it will sell more over the weeks. She got a few more promos with the mtv special and gma so Bey is still on top.:)
