Adele’s ’21′ was released 31 weeks ago but the album is still exceeding all expectations on the UK Albums Chart. However, the same can’t be said about The Throne’s ‘Watch The Throne‘, which has tumbled out of the top 10 in its 3rd week on the lineup.
The Throne have learned that nothing lasts forever as their ‘Watch The Throne’ album has been bumped from the top spot on the United World Album Chart. However, despite a 51% sales decline, the record still nabbed the #2 spot with over 250K units sold.
It finally happened. Katy Perry has matched Michael Jackson’s longstanding record of 5 #1 songs from a single album as her latest release, ‘Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)’, climbs to the top of the Billboard Hot 100.
When Ne-Yo said that we will get the chance to hear his “imperfect” side on his upcoming mixtape he wasn’t joking. The singer/songwriter has put his own spin on Kelly Rowland’s ‘Motivation’ in a remix called ‘She Uses Me (Masturbation)’.
Just one more week and Adele will be 21 for ’21′! The Pop/Soul singer’s album has now spent 20 weeks at #1 on the United World Chart, extending her lead as 2011′s best-selling artist.
It looks like Ne-Yo is really following Chris Brown’s lead with his new mixtape. Fulfilling his promise to try something new with the project, the singer/songwriter tries his hand at rapping on a remix of Jay-Z and Kanye West’s ‘Otis’.
Just when Kelly Rowland thought it was safe to release an album. While managing to outsell Beyonce’s ’4′ LP on this week’s Billboard 200, the singer’s ‘Here I Am‘ has missed the top spot and was outdone by the ever-present force that is Adele’s ’21′.
Chris Brown isn’t the only R&B artist planning to release a mixtape this year. Ne-Yo has revealed that he plans to drop an EP in the coming months before his next album.
Adele’s global domination continues to thunder onward as her ’21′ album has returned to the #1 spot for an incredible 18th week. The singer easily surpassed her nearest competitors, Beyonce and Lady GaGa, despite releasing her LP weeks before them.
The full version of DJ Khaled’s ‘Legendary’ has surfaced. The track, which features Chris Brown, Keyshia Cole and Ne-Yo, will appear on his ‘We the Best Forever‘ album which arrives in stores on July 19th.
