Rihanna’s ‘We Found Love’ barreled into the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 last week and set a new record on the tally. However, despite continued growth, the track still fell short of toppling this week’s reigning champion, ‘Someone Like You’ by Adele.
Nicki Minaj and Pitbull were spritely and excited as they attended 2011 American Music Awards nominations press conference at JW Marriott at LA LIVE in Los Angeles earlier today. Both acts scored 2 nods at this year’s event and Pitbull has been named as a performer along with Katy Perry.

Adele spent 7 weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 with her smash hit ‘Rolling In The Deep’ and now she has returned to the chart summit, this time with ‘Someone Like You’. Fueled by her show-stopping performance at the 2011 MTV Awards, the song has vaulted from #19 to #1.
Adele has set a new standard for success as her ’21′ album nabbed the top spot on the United World Chart for an awe-inspiring 21st week. The record sold yet another 234K copies and surged ahead of all contenders, including The Throne’s ‘Watch The Throne’ and Game ‘The R.E.D. Album’.
