Everything Kanye West does i larger than life. Bypassing common social media platforms and launching the latest era of his career with an innovative campaign, the rapper has premiered the video for his soon to be released single, "New Slaves", on the faces of 66 buildings across the globe.

Wes is expected to perform on the May 18th episode of Saturday Night Live and issue his new album by the end of June. Such a massive promotion blitz is quite odd for a person who claims to hate public attention, isn't it? Watch the preview of West's "New Slaves" video below:

Jennifer Lopez's new music is utter filth but there is no question that she looks better than eve. The spicy entertainer has released the Jessy Terrero-directed video for her new song, "Live it Up", which features rapper Pitbull, and it showcases her best assets - body and that face.

"Live it Up" was produced by RedOne as the lead single from Lopez's upcoming new album. Last evening, she performed the song for the first time on the American Idol finale and earned a standing ovation from diva Mariah Carey, with whom she was once engaged in a bitter feud.

"Live it Up" is horrible song but Lopez certainly made it somewhat more likeable with this video. She is a fantastic performer and watching her move onstage is very exciting. Lopez has always been a visual artist so even though her music has gone downhill, we can always depend on a great video from her. Well, except "Papi".

Nicki Minaj has scored so many entries on the Billboard Hot 100 because she is featured on almost artist's songs. In her latest bid to leave her mark in the history books, the rapper will lend her star power to Mario on his new single, "Somebody Else", which will be released to digital retailers next week.

"Somebody Else" will be available on iTunes on May 21st. The song is Mario's latest attempt at scoring a comeback on the charts, following the poor reception of his previous releases, "The Walls (Ft. Fabolous)" and "Killa". Niether of those songs cracked the Hot 100 but that hasn't dimmed Mario's hopes for success.

Will a verse from Minaj give Mario the boost he needs? We'll find out very soon but in the meantime, read the latter's letter to his fans below:

This has been a busy week in the entertainment industry with several major events grabbing media headlines and sparking heated discussions across the blogosphere. Naturally, I have many opinions regarding those hot topic issues and I share them all in a new episode of Trini Trent TV!

American Idol finale has crowned a new winner - Candice Glover - but does she have what it takes to be a success? Well, I voice my views about that question and the tumultuous season finale of the show, which included performances by Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez, as well as Kelly Rowland's new "Dirty Laundry" song and the 2013 BET Awards nominations on Trini Trent TV.

The-Dream has been complaining for years that several other artists in the music industry have cloned his sound and The Weeknd's new song, "Kiss Land", provides a perfect example of that. Yet, the latter has out-cooed his inspiration on the bass-heavy title track of his first studio album of fresh material later this year.

The Kiss Land album follows The Weeknd's Trilogy compilation set, which has sold north of 340K copies in the US to date. The lead single from the new record will be "John Carpenter" and the crooner graciously shared a snippet of the song with "Kiss Land". Listen to the music below:

It's refreshing to hear The Weeknd moving simple wafter vocals and applying his voice to songs with faster tempos but the lyrics of these tracks will definitely prevent them from scoring radio airplay. Still, I sense that with an underground following as massive as his, crossing over to the mainstream formats isn't on his agenda. So, hopefully his current  fans will support Kiss Land because he won't attract many new listeners in the near future.

It has been a while since we've heard new music from Britney Spears but the drought ended today when the Pop icon released a song called "Ooh La La". Produced by Dr. Luke and Ammo, both of hom contributed to Spears' Femme Fatale album, the track will appear on The Smurfs 2 soundtrack.

If you were hoping for a spicy tune to match the title of "Ooh La La" then think again. Spears once again hides her voice (?) behind a shroud of studio mechanics and adds little personality to the catchy yet generic song. On the bright side, "Ooh La La" is set to play during the final credits of The Smurfs 2 so this blemish on her catalogue of songs should go unnoticed.

The dust has settled, the confetti has been swept away and there is a new winner of American Idol. Candice Glover and her incredible voice have beaten the odds as emerged as the latest champion of the show, and she has wasted no time with the launch of her debut album campaign. In fact, Glover has already announced its title and release date!

Music Speaks will hit stores on July 16th as Glover's first album on 19 Recordings/Interscope Records. The record is preceded by Glover's American Idol winner's single, "I Am Beautiful", which she performed on the show twice this season to rave reviews from critics, who were surprised by its Top 40/Mainstream direction.

Glover is the first woman to win American Idol since Jordin Sparks nabbed the title at the end of the show's sixth season. However, despite her obvious talent, the jury is still out regarding the possibility of such a big-voiced singer scoring success on the beat-driven airwaves of the current music market. You've seen the behind the scenes footage but now it's time to see the first glimpse of the final product. Jennifer Lopez has shared a preview of her new video for her latest single, "Live it Up", which features Pitbull, and it's basically a sequel to her hit "On the Floor" clip.

Going from the club tot he shows of Miami Beach, Lopez welcomes summer with fashion, music and a crowd of drunk party guests in "Live it Up". Earlier this evening, the superstar performed the song for the first time on the American Idol finale and delivered a good showing, despite being a bit stiff.

Something must be in the water because two of the world's biggest divas were off their game this evening on American Idol. Following Mariah Carey's awkward hits medley performance, Jennifer Lopez hit the stage to debut her new single, "Live it Up", but was strangely stiffer than usual.

Joined by Pitbull and his tight pants, Lopez strutted and twirled as she performed "Live it Up". However, although she sang live over a backtrack, her moves were sluggish compared to her previous showings. Of course, Lopez still rocked the crowd and even earned a standing ovation from Carey, who has been her rival for years. "In your face" mission accomplished.
