New Song: Leona Lewis – ‘Collide’

The first single from Leona Lewis’ new album has been released. ‘Collide’ was written by Autumn Rowe and produced by Sandy Vee for the singer’s new album which will be released in November.

Give the song a listen below:

Basically, Lewis stop following Mariah Carey and has attached herself to the Dance/Pop bandwagon. Indeed, this song has a striking resemblance to Katy Perry’s ‘Firework’ and does little to evoke the excitement that Lewis promised from the record.

Still, it’s great to hear a singer with actual vocal ability on the airwaves again. Hopefully, Lewis delivers with her next single because we all know that weak singles could ruin an entire project. Do you remember ‘Echo’? Exactly.

i do not like this. her debut was so good. this song reminds me of mash up of Beyonce’s Smash Into You & Katy Perry’s Fireworks.

Fail, as usual…she should really stop copying people….she went from Mariah to Beyonce and Katy Perry.

I loved echo! it was for people with ears. Most peopla find nicki minaj, katy, etc. ore interesting true. More interesting. But Echo is music. THose are clearly not music. This track is one step towards that road. I hope she goes back to her old self.

This literally has me sleeping by 2:00 mins.
She has such a strong voice, and shes gorgeous. It sucks that shes such a snooze fest.

she needs a good scandal. or popular boyfriend. Something Leona. Shit.

I honestly do not see what’s so boring about this tbh? It’s meant to be a Summer Anthem and I definitely think it accomplishes that. And while it’s a new sound for Leona, I think she transitions herself smoothly into this new sound. Her vocals sound effortless and I really think this could be a huge hit for her, one she really needs. Of course there’s controversy surrounding it, but every song anymore gets that.

I do hope she gets a big darker mid-tempo (she said most of the new album is dark) out though before the album so people know it’s not just going to be this kind of music.

And the song is about her new boyfriend btw, she met last year.
