The 2012 Soul Train Awards aired this evening on BET and Centric. Originally filmed at PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on November 8th in Las Vegas, the event celebrated the achievements of R&B/Soul artists across generations.
The air date of the 2012 Soul Train Awards is almost upon us and judging by this special preview of the show, it will be an event to remember. Performing their own hits as well as classic covers were Fantasia, Elle Varner, Stevie Wonder and 2 Chainz, who got the Las Vegas audience members to their feet.
Trey Songz has low worldwide sales but he clearly missed that memo. Adding to the list of previously announced UK shows that he has planned for 2013, the singer has revealed the dates of his ‘Chapter V World Tour’, which will feature Miguel and Elle Varner as supporting acts.
Elle Varner continues to set herself apart from her R&B peers with her new video for ‘I Don’t Care’. Instead of creating a typical visual that focuses on a cliche love affair, the unique songstress crafted a production that highlighted the struggles of both interracial and gay relationships.
It has been a while since we’ve seen Elle Varner but she is preparing a renewed assault on the charts. For her latest single off her ‘Perfectly Imperfect’ album, the R&B songstress has chosen ‘I Don’t Care’ and even shared behind the scenes footage of the song’s accompanying video.
Elle Varner’s promotional efforts have resulted in an unexpected yet welcome high ranking of her ‘Perfectly Imperfect’ album on the US charts. In fact, the LP has locked a position in the top 5 of the Billboard 200 with sales exceeding initial expectations.
As the Elle Varner promotional campaign rages on, the singer made yet another media appearance, this time on BET’s ’106 & Park’. However, instead of only discussing the specifics of her new album, ‘Perfectly Imperfect’, she also engaged in a special moment of reflection.
Elle Varner is definitely doing her best to promote her recently released ‘Perfectly Imperfect’ debut album. In addition to her cover of Brandy’s ‘I Wanna Be Down’ at the Highline Ballroom, the young singer visited ‘The Breakfast Club’ to chat about a range of hilarious topics.
Elle Varner has one of the most unique voices on the R&B music circuit so any song she performs has her own stamp of originality. That point was recently put to the test when she appeared at the Highline Ballroom for a showcase and decided to cover Brandy’s ‘I Wanna Be Down’.
The August 7th release date of Elle Varner’s ‘Perfectly Imperfect’ album is merely days away so what better way is there to get excited for its debut then a special preview of the record? Clearly, the singer knows what her fans want because she has issued a sampler of the 11-song record.
