So, if you are anything like me then you turned off your television after last night’s episode of American Idol and missed the 2013 Rip the Runway special on BET. Thankfully, we have the power of the internet on our side and all of the performances have been uploaded for our viewing pleasure.
Omarion’s music is far from impressive so did you honestly expect the accompanying visuals to be mind-blowing? Just take a look at his new video for his latest single, “Paradise”, and you’ll observe the fact that the singer has one of the smallest budgets provided by the MMG label.
Get this very clear in your mind: Omarion is not a homosexual, bisexual or pansexual. In fact, he strictly loves the ladies and he reminds of that in his new overtly sexual song called “Paradise”, which will appear on his upcoming MMG debut album, Love & Other Drugs.
It looks as though we’re just going to have to get accustomed to Omarion wasting his talent on songs that don’t his potential justice. The confused crooner has released a new song called ‘Admire’ and it’s all about his regular topic: how much he loves the ladies.
It’s been a long time since Omarion last visited BET’s ’106 & Park’ studios. However, he returned to the show, which is now hosted by his longtime friend Bow Wow, to share his new video for his latest single, ‘M.I.A.’, and speak about his new EP, ‘Care Package’.
The pre-taped 2012 BET Hip Hop Awards finally aired this evening and the show was action-packed. Aside from a notorious backstage clash between Rick Ross and Young Jeezy, the ceremony featured performances and cyphers by T.I, 50 Cent, Missy Elliott, Eve, 2 Chainz, Busta Rhymes and others.
As portrayed in his ‘Let’s Talk’ video, Omarion is a chronic overcompensator and he appears desperate to match hypermasculine ideals. However, despite his obvious personal and professional issues, the singer has surprisingly expressed respect for Frank Ocean’s decision to share aspects of his sexuality.
