Shock grips Hollywood today as Amy Winehouse was found dead. Police located the body of the critically acclaimed singer at Camden Square NW1 in London just over an hour ago.

“Police were called by London Ambulance Service to an address in Camden Square NW1 shortly before 16.05hrs today, Saturday 23 July, following reports of a woman found deceased.
On arrival officers found the body of a 27-year-old female who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Enquiries continue into the circumstances of the death. At this early stage it is being treated as unexplained.“

Wow… this is shocking. I had to read the headline a few times. RIP.
This is so sad. So many people were rooting for her because her talent was so great! You dont come across a voice like hers everyday. She’s in a better place now and her music that she did leave will live on forever.

i’m truly saddened by this. i know that addiction is a tough thing. i witnessed my uncle battle an addiction to alcohol. we all have demons, her got the best of her. I pray for her family and friends. Her voice was so pure and unique, nothing like anyone out here. another who died at 27 smh

This is not shocking news. Family & friends tried to help her out but when an addict doesn’t want that help there’s not much you can do.

Can’t believe this, had all the TV and radio etc off all day finally log into Twitter and find out my beloved Amy has passed on… I really thought she was gonna get her demons under controll and live her life
I have both her albums and they are amazing especially “Back to black” that album is going to go down in musical history as one of the greatest albums ever made and Amy as one of the greatest singers AND songwriters to GRACE us with her music and she will never be forgorgotten :/

This is very sad day. Drugs affect not only the individual whos abusing, but the family and friends around them. Lets pray for her family at this sad time.
Drug taking is not a joke. She had sooooo much talent and she could have done so much more. She was the first british women to get 5 GRAMMY Awards in one night. She is a true Legend who died too young.
