Did you know that Chubby Checker’s ‘The Twist’ was the most successful song on the Billboard Hot 100 in the period of 1958-2008?
The song originally hit #1 on the chart in 1960 but accomplished a still unmatched feat when it ascended to the top again in 1962. Interestingly, Checker’s version of the track is actually a cover as it was originally released by Hank Ballard & the Midnighters in 1959.
