Adele spent 7 weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 with her smash hit ‘Rolling In The Deep’ and now she has returned to the chart summit, this time with ‘Someone Like You’. Fueled by her show-stopping performance at the 2011 MTV Awards, the song has vaulted from #19 to #1.

This just silly now. How she gonna have an album sell 3.3m in 7 months and have a 4month old single top the chart aswell. What warrants such ridiculous success lol
I like Beyonce but why do her stans have to make everything about her. I believe this article is about ADELE…anyways, Adele is doing great with this album. Congrats to her! Someone Like You is one of my favorites from 21.
Olly, Someone Like You wasn’t released to US markets commercially until weeks ago althought it simmered to the #1 spot in other countries, Meanwhile she’s on her 4th single elsewhere. America is being treated like the stepchild in a way when it comes to Adele single releases/videos LOL.
Sorry if you have taken my post out of context, I was just informing Beyoncé fans about her chart success because she performed “Love on top” at the vma’s, plus they deserve to know. I will be posting Lady Gaga’s too.

Fellow VMA standout performer Lady Gaga likewise benefits from a buzzworthy appearance on the telecast. After she opened the festivities with “You and I,” the song charges 16-6 on the Hot 100 – becoming her 11th top 10, her entire output of singles promoted to radio. The cut climbs 8-4 on Digital Songs (175,000, up 61%) and 37-23 on Radio Songs (41 million, up 32%).

ITS FUNNY HOW BEY STANS ACT LIKE GETTING A TOP 20 SONG IS STH TO CELEBRATE ABOUT, WHEN JUST LAST YEAR GETTING A TOP 10 HIT ALONE JUST DIDNT CUT IT FOR THEM. WELL ITS UNDERSTANDABLE, TIMES ARE HARD 4 U GUYS
4 IN THE CONTEXT OF ITS TIME IS NOT DOING BADLY, BUT HER SINGLES ARE
@ sara
If you read that post properly you will know that each song has it position listed, such as irreplace #1 – 10 weeks number 1, Beyoncé fans have no problem with chart positions because they know when Beyonce hit’s number one she doesn’t just do it for a week, calculate those five number one hits and compare them with someone that has 10 number ones and you will see Beyoncé number ones have sustained the position more than a week.
I just posted something that was NOT full of hate, I also listed Lady Gaga’s position, Just sit back and enjoy the music.
Yet…again this post is about Adele. It’s interesting to point out that “Someone Like You” did the same jump a week after her performance at the BRIT Awards. Which sparked interest in “Someone Like You” as being her next single in the states meanwhile “Rolling In The Deep” was on its 7 weeks stay at #1 here. It’s a great song that forces you to listen to the lyrics and go a place where very artists takes the listener on. The clever play on words and intricate storytelling makes this song what it is and to that. Congratulations to her and her triple success. 2 #1′s singles and a #1 triple platinum album.
Yay Adele and Wayne!!
Outstanding she is own 2011
Adele is bringing real music back to the top of the charts. Adele proves she doesn’t need a gimmick to sell albums and singes; just TALENT.
Yass for Adele and Bey
Katy has been in the top 10 of the Hot 100 for a record breaking 69 consecutive weeks :OO
@Vanity, damn who’s blog is this? No one really cares if Beyonce debuts in the top 20. Her butt has yet to hit the top 10 from this cd…NOW THAT WOULD BE BREAKING NEWS….hahahhahaha—Adele is gonna sweep the GRAMMYS….i smell 7 Grammys
Adele is doing her thing!
