Chris Brown To Release ‘Fortune’ Album In 2012

Chris Brown fans where whipped into excitement earlier this week when a new song from the entertainer, entitled ‘Trumpet Lights’, had surfaced. However, any further anticipation for Brown’s ‘Fortune’ album will have to be paused as the record will not be released until early 2012.

Brown initially promised to put forward the project before the end of 2011 but his longtime collaborator Kevin McCall dispelled any such notions in an interview with Rap-Up TV. See what McCall had to say below:

Brown could either benefit or suffer from this decision. He is definitely avoiding the risk of over-saturating his market with too much new material by delaying the release of ‘Fortune’. Indeed, his ‘F.A.M.E.’ album is still in the top 60 of the Billboard 200  and his ‘Boy In Detention’ mixtape was issued less than a month ago.

However, now Brown will have to compete with several other artists in the early 2012 released period, including Usher with whom he shares a common demographic. Furthermore, with Usher venturing into the Pop market, they will now be in direct competition.

Regardless of these points, Brown has thus far provided ample content that proves his ‘Fortune’ album will be a major chart contender. Let the games begin!

   Hell yea. I cant wait for both K mac and CB to release their albums. They work well together n they r very talented. If Fortune is better than FAME…… Then we r in for a hell of a ride in 2012.

   I can’t with people that really still go to Chris Brown post just to call him names *sigh* What year is this? Where did your life go? You better go find it, it’s passing you by while you search Chris Brown’s name…you know someone you hate..

   Anyway I’m glad he’s waiting to release Fortune, he doesn’t need to overdue it plus F.A.M.E. doesn’t need to be finished just yet. Still excited for Fortune though

   Iam glad ‘Fortune’ is coming early 2012 because he needs to release more songs off ‘F.A.M.E’ and release ‘Leave the club’, ‘Strip’, ‘ladies love me’ and ‘Sweetheart’ off ‘Boy in Dentention’.
   Plus, iam looking forward to K-Mac’s album. Iam glad he’s signed to JIVE. His a genius!

   I am going to patiently wait for Fortune because Im still ROCKING out to FAME!! I just glad he is focused and doing what he does best, making music. As long as he continues to remain positive and put that energy into his music, nothing else matters!

   Good, because I can’t see him promoting another album by the end of the year. And why the rush? FAME is still selling, plus he will be busy with his FAME tour. He should probably extend the dates to the UK, Europe, Asia, and Latin America. When he’s done touring, THEN start promoting the Fortune album.
