Following several false starts and a scandalous public breakup with The-Dream, Christina Milian is has finally gotten focused on her music career. In fact, Rap-Up TV caught up with the singer at the BMI Urban Awards where she revealed that she has undoubtedly found her sound.
Milian also noted that the record has been completely revamped from its previous incarnation, which was developed with Myspace Records, and will now be released via Interscope Records. Hear what she had to say about the new project below:
This is quite intriguing news. Milian was clearly testing the waters with some of her previous releases, including ‘Zipper’ and ‘Us Against The World’, but now she is seems fixated on cultivating her own sound instead of taking random stabs in the dark.
Furthermore, now that The-Dream is now longer involved in the project, Milian has had time to record an album that doesn’t sound like a mix of several of his notoriously recycled beats and melodies. Surely, Milian has all the characteristics to become a successful artist and I sense that with Interscope’s support and this fresh perspective she will forge a comeback.
