Leona Lewis shocked her supporters earlier this week when she announced that her ‘Glassheart’ album would no longer debut on November 28th as initially planned. However, in an even more dumbfounding development, the singer has delayed the release of the record until March of 2012.
Lewis has pegged March 26th as the official UK launch date for ‘Glassheart’. With such a lengthily postponement of the album’s release, speculation has already arisen that a new lead single will premiere in January and ‘Collide’ will be rebranded as a buzz track.

This is simply a situation where Lewis’ team recognised that her project was in a state of disarray and that it needed to be completely revamped to prevent a possible commercial catastrophe. Surely, Simon Cowell would not risk his prize act, who represents the entire ‘The X Factor’ brand, to fail as that would reflect poorly on his business model.
Certainly, all that we can do at this point is hope that Lewis records more marketable material. Luckily, people involved in the project spotted the flaws and are doing what needs to be done to address them. Leona’s team needs to be congratulated.
Smart move. ‘Collide’ was weak and nobody was checking for her. This allows time for her to create buzz.

O ok. Great job.
But I still love collide..
but iit is better as a buzz single.but leona is know for her powerful r&b/pop ballads.
Leona show the world ur voice.
Good. I never wanted another November release anyways. It’s too busy this time of year for her to release right now. I just hope she doesn’t fade away again until the next single is out and hopefully they eliminate Collide from the tracklist. I’m also hoping they don’t completely re-do the tracklist as I am looking forward to most of the songs that’s been mentioned.
And at least they aren’t pulling an “Echo” where they see it’s struggling and go through with a busy release day.
Smart move. Now if only they re-shoot the album cover…
