Did you know that Beyonce’s ‘Check On It’ was actually a bigger hit on the Billboard Hot 100 than ‘Singles Lades (Put A Ring On It)’?
‘Single Ladies’ sold over 4.2 million downloads, garnered over 147 million audience impressions in the week of January 15th 2009 and spent 4 weeks at the top of the chart. However, although ‘Check On It’ only achieved gold status, it easily surged pass the 200 million impressions mark in the week of January 31st 2006 and remained at #1 on the Hot 100 for 5 weeks.

At the time, digital downloads/physical sales were nearly non-existent in comparison to what we have now. It’s crazy how huge “Check On It” was at the time; it was a monster!
Both songs are trash!
Shame this. Always thought “Check On It” was a weak song. The hook was catchy but it’s definately one of her poorest singles.
