The elusive Missy Elliott lent her voice to the hook of J. Cole’s ‘Nobody’s Perfect’. The song, which was previewed online last week, will appear on the J. Cole’s upcoming September 27th release, ‘Cole World: The Sideline Story’.
Listen to ‘Nobody’s Perfect’ below:
At first listen, J. Cole’s flow at the start of the song was a bit confusing because it didn’t match the beat but it quickly became obvious that he was cleverly rapping with a crescendo. That was almost as impressive as Elliott’s singing on the hook, which had a strange similarity to Aaliyah’s signature vocals.
J. Cole’s album definitely includes several gems. Although many of his fans were despondent because of the commercial sound of his singles, such as ‘Can’t Get Enough (Ft. Trey Songz)’, the rest of the LP should certainly satisfy his critics.

I like this and I wish Missy would release a new album! I’m tired of Nicki being the only female rapper.
