Adele’s ’21′ album has sold over 11.42 million copies worldwide but all is not well in the life of the lauded singer. In fact, after suffering from numerous issues with her voice during the last year, she has opted to have surgery on her vocal cords and cancelled her remaining tour dates for 2011.
Adele received the most nominations for the 2011 American Music Awards – 4 nods – and many hoped that she would join the lineup of performers, which already included Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Lopez, Justin Bieber and others. Unfortunately, she has indicated that all of her remaining live appearances for this year have been nixed.

hope all goes well, because she has an amazing voice
Wow….I’m really sad to hear this is happening to her, but at the same time I’m not surprised. She has a huge voice and she sings even bigger songs, in addition she has entered the realm of superstardom which has forced her to push her voice to new limits with a much larger run of live performances. As well as her “21″ album is much larger vocally then her previous vocal showing with “19″.
Recently I have felt that her latest run of live performances have been a little rougher around the edges; specially in comparison to her “19″ era, as well has she has started to show signs of strain……..and I said all that to say, I hope she gets better and returns to proper form.
She better put the cigarettes down while shes at it

Totally agree, I do not know why singers smoke when it is so obviously bad for their voices.
