Did you know that Michael Jackson was not the inventor of the moonwalk?
The King of Pop discovered the move, which was then called “backsliding”, after seeing Soul Train dancer Jeffery Daniel perform the legendary move during one of his classic popping routines in 1970s. Jackson later contacted Daniel as well as his fellow Soul Train dancers Derek Jaxson and Geron Candidate to teach him the move.
