Did you know that Mariah Carey’s ‘Heartbreaker’ was Jay-Z’s first #1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100?

Released as the lead single from the Carey’s ‘Rainbow’ album on September 21st 1999, the song held the peak position of the chart in the weeks of October 9th and October 16th 1999. ‘Heartbreaker’ ias often credited as the track that launched Jay-Z’s success on mainstream radio as he only scored 1 top 10 single prior to that record - ‘I’ll Be’ with Foxy Brown in 1996.
