New Video: Kelly Rowland – ‘Lay It On Me (Ft. Big Sean)’

Kelly Rowland unleashed her inner Janet Jackson for her new video, ‘Lay It On Me’. After taunting her fans for weeks with multiple glimpses of the visual, the final result of the Sarah Chatfield-directed clip, which features Big Sean, has proven to be worth the wait.

Rowland has undeniably been utilising a sexual slant with her recent releases but this video is an excellent example of where it works. Although she came perilously close to a Rated R certification by placing her head between a naked man’s crotch, Rowland made it look artistic rather than blatantly pornographic.

Hopefully, however, Rowland’s upcoming ‘Down for Whatever’ video won’t follow a similar formula of bold sexuality as depicted in this visual and ‘Motivation’. Indeed, if she doesn’t want people to think that she is selling sex then she should experiment with different ideas.

   I really like the video but i honestly dont know why it took so long, i mean its a studio shot video. Also check out Livvi Francis ‘Now i’m that bitch’ video on youtube, it came out 3 years ago, and the videos are tooo similar. Beyonce is not the only copycat!
