Did you know that Cher was the eldest woman to top the Billboard Hot 100 when her ‘Believe’ single reached the chart summit in 1999?

Cher was 52 years of age when ‘Believe’ hit #1 on the Hot 100 in the week of March 13th 1999. However, the icon’s success didn’t end with that achievement. In fact, the accompanying album of the same title became her biggest-selling release to date after being certified 4x platinum in the US and selling over 20 million copies worldwide.

   Not surprising because that’s what legendary singers do: they top the charts as the ripe age of 52.
