New Song: Mary J. Blige – ‘Love A Woman (Ft. Beyonce)’ (Extended Snippet)

Last week, Mary J. BLige set the web ablaze when she released a short snippet of her highly anticipated duet with Beyonce, entitled ‘Love a Woman’, and now she has issued an extended preview of the tune. The song will appear on Blige’s ‘My Life II: The Journey Continues (Act 1)‘ album, which hits stores on November 21st.

Thus far, Blige has impressively prevented her ‘My Life II’ album from prematurely surfacing on the web – a feat that Rihanna, who will also release her ‘Talk That Talk’ album on November 21st, was unable to accomplish. Listen to the ‘Love a Woman’ extended preview below:

From the sound of this preview, Beyonce employed a more restrained singing style for the tune, similar to what she did on ‘Dangerously in Love’ and ‘Destiny’s Fulfilled’. Yet, the result was that she sounded more convincing than some of her other works. However, when it comes to emotion, nobody does it quite like Blige!

   I love this. I haven’t stopped listening to it ever since you put it up. It is truly refreshing to have “REAL” music that is more about some random guys eating your Birthday Cake.

   Their voices don’t mesh well together. Mary and her rough style mixed with Beyonce’s sultry tone equals a big fat no. And Mary threw in some cat notes. Beyonce should’ve kept this for herself.
