Did you know that The Beatles hold the record for the most #1 singles in the history of the Billboard Hot 100?
The Beatles landed an awesome twenty singles at the top of the Hot 100 throughout their the careers. However, what was even more impressive was the fact that they achieved that feat within an eight-year period – 1962 to 1970.
Furthermore, The Beatles garnered a cumulative total of 59 weeks at #1 on the Hot 100. The only artist who has spent more time at the top of the tally is Mariah Carey who has notched 79 weeks at the summit. Yet, she has yet to match the twenty-song record of The Beatles as she has thus far accomplished eighteen #1 hits on the Hot 100 – the most for any solo act and second among all artists.
So what was The Beatles’ biggest hit? Their most successful song was the international phenomenon ‘Hey Jude’, which held the #1 slot on the Hot 100 for 9 weeks and was certified 4x platinum.

Why does each Music Minute have to involve Mariah in some way?
Rihanna, Katy etc probably will get a lot more number ones (even though their desperation is showing very badly) but will never get even near the beatles impact or amazing songs, never ever will. Music industry is terrible these days!!
@kiddz who would you prefer for it to involve? Mariah has many records so anything involving the charts would almost always have her name in it. Some men are really threatened by womens success
Ella Fitzgerald’s version of this song is waaaaaaaay better. The way she goes in. Good Music Minute.
