It has been a while since newsworthy material from Mya has been released but after a series of unimpressive tunes, the singer has finally put forward an impressive song. ‘Take Him Out’ features Dancehall music’s current leading female performer, Spice, and will appear on the upcoming US edition of Mya’s ‘K.I.S.S.’ album.

‘K.I.S.S.’ was released independently in Japan on April 13th and peaked at #61 on the Japan Billboard Top Albums Chart. The US version of the record has been earmarked to hit stores on December 20th.

Mya is a talented entertainer but all of her projects following ‘Moodring’ have been grossly mishandled. Truly, the main reasons why she has not been able to make a major impact on the charts is because of her apparent lack of career focus and because of her inability to secure a deal with a label that would properly fund her projects.

However, amidst all of the sonically offensive tunes that Mya has released during the past few years, ‘Take Him Out’ is by far the most impressive and could be very successful on multiple formats. Besides, with Reggae Fusion as one of the most prominent genres in the clubs, it wouldn’t take much effort to get this song off the ground. However, that will take dedication from Mya and her team.
