New Video: Mary J. Blige – ‘Mr. Wrong’

Mary J. Blige surprised her fans moments ago with the release of her ‘Mr. Wrong’ video. However, what really shocked her supporters was the fact that the track’s featured act, Drake, was strangely not featured in the clip.
‘Mr. Wrong’ was released to Urban radio on November 8th as the second single from Blige’s ‘My Life II: The Journey Continues (Act 1)’. To date, the song has not impacted the Billboard Hot 100, despite heavy promotion. Coincidentally, Blige’s performance of ‘Mr. Wrong’ at ‘Vh1 Divas Celebrates Soul’ will air this evening at 9pm ET.

Blige undoubtedly looked beautiful in this video but it was simply a collection of glamour shots. Additionally, her attempts at dancing were very awkward and she looked rather uncomfortable in many of the scenes.
Why wasn’t Drake included in this clip? With ‘Mr. Wrong’ struggling to gain airplay at radio and having little impact at retailers, it needs all of the help it can get, which Drake could have easily provided.
Obviously, Blige’s performances are not enough to push this single and since the video was underwhelming, it may be time to move on to another track. I suggest ‘Feels Inside (Ft. Nas)’.

OOOOOOOOH Mary’s wrong for channeling Giselle Knowles…
The stans are always the FIRST to comment. Beyonce has nothing to do with this video. It’s funny that when she’s accused of “channeling” other classic clips, the stans act like the world is against her. However, if the stans see another artist who does something that reminds them of Beyonce, they will try to drag them like there’s no tomorrow. Face it, Mary J. Blige looked stunning in the video.
I thought it was cool! Mary tried to step out. Her dancing was appreciated & well received. Can’t be mad. My confusion is where is Drake?! Why hasn’t he graced the stage at any of her performances or this video?! I’m sure he was enlisted to be on the album because of his name, what’s the point of him being non-existent?! Hmm.. Still a great song, w/ or w/o him, though. I must say.
Now I love love LOVE me some Bey but even I can’t take some of the stans. But the pattern I’ve noticed is the ones wit the ignorant ass comments about copyin & etc are babies who only kno Beyonce & not tje FACT that she didn’t originate the things they keep tryna say others bite from her. I love both women. Good job MJB.

Mary looks absolutely beautiful in this video. But the video just doesn’t cut it. It’s very cheap looking and far too dim.
Mary looked so good in this video but there was no story or any bit of a concept. It’s not what I was expecting. And evidently Mary didn’t get the memo to stop dancing; it needs to be sent again. I’m so not happy about my favorite Drake not being in it. I was looking forward to him. What’s the 411, Mary?
This video could have had a really good concept. she could have cut the Dancers and the glamor shots, the lyrics told a story.

You’re telling me that all it took was a matted as wig to remind you of Beyonce? Since we’re comparing should we name the countless entertainers/actors that Beyonce has channeled and NOT given any credit to?
I guess it say the black & white video and tuxedo tailored suit in “Dance For You” couldn’t been her channeling Mary J. Blige (I’m Goin Down)?

um she does remind me of bey in this video bday era to be exact i apreciate mary wanting to step out the box but i have to be honest as a fan i’m just not feeling it people love mary just the way she is this video is far from a fav of mine i hope her videos get better this era because i didn’t like the 25/8 video either although i love the song
