Hot Pics: Kelly Rowland & Others Tribute Emotional Mariah Carey At BET Honors

Early this morning, we saw the first images from the 2012 BET Honors which was filmed last evening in Washington and now we have even more shots of the momentous event that celebrated the legendary Stevie Wonder, Spike Lee, Maya Angelou and Mariah Carey. Notably, the last of the bunch was treated to a tribute by Kelly Rowland, Raekwon and Patti LaBelle that left her in tears.

Carey received a standing ovation for her touching speech following the set and was greeted onstage by Nick Cannon and her son Moroccan, who seemed to enjoy the spotlight as much as his diva mother.    @Tia I have to agree what the hell took so long for her to be honored in this fashion. BET probably woke up last year after her and the babies nearly died during pregnancy and right after their premature birth. lavalizzard can you please print the text of Nick’s tribute speach and the pics of them on stage with Roc

   People keep saying what took BET so long to honor Mariah, but didn’t the BET honor program just start like 4 years ago. looks like they are in time. Its the other recognition ceremonies that should have done a tribute to her before Bet.

   i would have liked to see jordin sparks or even robin thicke instead. robin thicke would have done a lovely job at singing one of careys songs, he would have done a nice twist on things. good luck to kelly though

   Looking forward to seeing this on TV. I’m glad she was honored, she totally deserved it. Also, I want to see how Kelly did! Reviews said she was sizzling!!!

    Mariah and Nick look so happy at the Bet Honors. I want to
    see it too. I didn’t know that Jhud was going be there.
    Some people were upset that Kelly was going to sing
    at the tribute,they saying that her voice wasn’t
    powerful, but knowing Mariah I knew she invite some
    powerful singing like Patti and Jhud.
