Hot Pics: Whitney Houston & Jordin Sparks Preview Sparkle In People

Whitney Houston has been hard at work on the remake of ‘Sparkle’ and the final result is almost ready to debut. The diva and her young costar Jordin Sparks gave People magazine a glimpse of the film, which is set to hit cinemas in August 2012.
Of course, Houston has also been recording music for the soundtrack of ‘Sparkle’ alongside noted producer Harvey Mason Jr. However, her name was recently in the headlines for a different reason when her mentor Clive Davis stated that her drug abuse was quite “upsetting.”

I love me some Whitney, always will. But I’m concerned that she is being over worked and she is not truly ready to be back in the limelight(IMO). I mean I thought the same thing when she dropped her last album and then announced a tour. I don’t feel like she has the right people around(on her team). I mean really, ‘who puts a recovering addict on tour: Specially so soon after (a real) recovery???’ It was hard to watch clips of her tour, not because of her vocals but because she looked like she was starting to spiral again(IMO).
I hope she is getting the support she deserves.
maybe because she had a respiratory infection and was on steriods? and that was years ago, what does her tour have to do with her movie? She’s been sitting on Sparkle for years and is a producer of the movie and appears to be in great spirits.
I really hope this movie turns out good. There’s some unknowns and first time actors in this movie which is a huge gamble. Let’s hope the children come out and see Ms. Houston.
Hmmmmm, I’d believe Whitney a severe addict for over ten years was experiencing a stumble on the road to recovery before I believed her ‘addict’ behavior was attributed to steroids and a respiratory infection. I brought up her movie and the tour because once an addict always an addict whether she is in recovery or not, and it has been proven several times over that stressful work environments have a tendency to cause addicts to relapse. Her world tour and the production of Sparkle were only 16 months apart… that seems a stressful, no?
All I’m saying is I hope she is doing well and is staying true to the road to recovery and putting that before everything else.
well i doubt the steroid treatment and massive weight gain would be the result of a possible relapse and what “addict” behavior were you referring to? i think she pretty much said on Oprah everyday is a struggle and its a life long battle. Everything we have seen points towards her sticking with her recovery. Would you rather she sit home and did nothing? she made a movie not saved the planet.
Whitney looks amazing! The stills alay my fears that it would look cheap! I can’t wait for this movie. Whitney has never put out a crappy movie product so I know this will be great. She really doesn’t look like a mom, she could be the older sister, lol
By the way, I’d hardly call a 3min section on Whitney in a near 2 hr interview that no major news paper carry as in the headlines, u doing too much trent! Can’t lie i’ve only been hearing great things about her on this movie.

Whitney had a real bad upper respiratory infection on tour that had her admitted to the hospital in france. insurance doctors saw her and signed off on her and if you don’t believe steroids can blow u up with weight gain go on it for more than 2 wks! Save your fake concern. she had this movie for 13years and seem to be pacing herself just fine. just go support the movie when it comes out.
