Mariah Carey Supports Nick Cannon After Kidney Failure

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have been enjoying the winter cold of Aspen with their growing family since the start of the Holiday season but their fun was derailed by an unexpected problem. Cannon suffered mild kidney failure and was rushed to the hospital where he remains under the supervision of medical staff.

Carey shared details regarding the situation earlier today and asked her fans to pray for her family as she comforted Cannon. Naturally, the diva managed to add humour to her description of her husband’s condition as she tried to keep him happy.

This is us in the hospital – role reversal; Last year it was me attached to the machines (after having dembabies) and Nick was there with me through it, and now here we are.

We’re trying to be as festive as possible under the circumstances but please keep Nick in your thoughts because this is very painful. They tried to kick me out of the hospital but here I am pon de bed with Mr. C.

We’re doing OK but we’re “straaaaaanded in Aspen”. #DramaticDivaPlace (I know, we could be in a lot worse places) but the truth is as long as we’re together, we’re OK. I’m not trying to make light out of the situation because it’s a serious moment that’s very tough on all of us so please keep us and our family in your prayers. LYM.

   @DannBFly lets hope this is a one shot deal just the thought of Nick possibly not being there to watch the twins grow up is too painful to think about he obviously adores fatherhood and has done really good at it so far. it’s odd to see the roles reversed though Mariah has always kind of been a caretaker type it’s part of the DNA of an airies or a cancer to be very protective of Family and friends. Mariah is only resiprocating the love and support Nick gave her through her pregnancy with the twins and their premature birth not by her choice but because of the complications she had suffered

   Wow, I hope he get’s better. He’s too young. But a close friend of mine who is in her early 20′s has been on dialysis for several years now. I hope he lives to see his children grow!

   Wish Nick the best but what does whitney houston have to do with this? everyone life is different and people walk different paths, we don’t know how either mariah, nick’s or whitney’s path will end. stop the drama
