Did you know that Luther Vandross was the 7th most successful artist on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop charts during the 25-year period of 1985 to 2010?
Vandross scored 36 entries on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, including 20 top 10 singles, of which 6 went to #1. Additionally, 17 of the crooner’s albums peaked within the top 10 of the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums lineup and 8 of those collections claimed the top slot of the listing.
Shockingly, Vandross never accomplished a #1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 and his final studio album, ‘Dance with My Father‘, was his only release to land at the summit of the Billboard 200. So what was his Vandross’ highest-charting single on the Hot 100? That was his cover of ‘Endless Love’ with Mariah Carey, which peaked at #2 in 1994.

I love you Trent. But you should have put Luther’s other popular hits instead of that Mariah duet.
Wow I didn’t know this one!
Trent you should do one on Patti!
Trent, could you consider the following video for a music minute? Thanks!
Luther was so great. He is truly missed. I am in love with “A House is not a Home” and “Here and now”.
LUTHER IS KING!
Some of you are so ignorant. What do some of these comments have to do with the post? If you don’t like Trent go to another blog; there a a thousand different ones.
