We saw Nicki Minaj’s disastrous ‘Stupid Hoe’ video and some of us wondered if she would ever redeem herself from that debacle. However, thanks to a timely spot in David Guetta’s visual for ‘Turn Me On’, she has made an impression that undoubtedly set her on the right track.
‘Turn Me On’ is the latest release from Guetta’s ‘Nothing but the Beat’ album. The song has thus far peaked at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and is Minaj’s second highest-charting single following ‘Super Bass’ and Britney Spears’ ‘Till the World Ends (Remix)’, which both peaked at #3.
Watch the visual for ‘Turn Me On’ below:
This visual is far more impressive that the many of Guetta and Minaj’s individual works. It entails a clear storyline with an added twist as well as great graphics that did not all involve a cheap green screen.
Hopefully, Minaj takes a hint from the backlash she received from her ‘Stupid Hoe’ video and creates clips similar to ‘Turn Me On’ instead. Besides, she could definitely afford something better than shaking her backside in a cage. Indeed, her certainly talent deserves better.
That Was Brilliant!
Kudos To Both Artists For
Creating Art With This Vid!
I don’t think Nicki cares about the backlash from Stupid Hoe. She’s more concerned with how many views the video got in 24, 48, 72 hours. Sad but true. Especially when you have blogs hyping it talking about “she broke a record”…yeah she broke a record but not in a good way. People clicked to see that video NOT because they love Nicki and want to see it, many people watched that video because of the horrendous things they heard about it and wanted to see why everyone was laughing at her. with that said, Good video but I don’t credit Nicki for this. After all this is David Guetta’s song and I know he wouldn’t allow that mess that is the stupid hoe video to enter his work space. I use to be a huge fan of Nicki but not I cant stand her. Im not a hater but from her lack of solid work to her TMZ hotel publicity stunt to her tweet to Cher and lets not forget her awful hypeman/boyfriend who acts like a 13 year old boy——–Im just not feeling her. OH and I don’t like the “pop” Nicki. Feel like she’s abandoned her original fans and went completely pop. She tried to give us hip hop (Stupid Hoe, Roman in Moscow) and that was just embarrassing.
The video is actually good. And the song was alright (that is until she started “rapping” at the end). If she could have this type of creativity when it comes to her own work, I would absolutely give her kudos.
