    Rihanna Announces New Single

Written by TriniTrent | Filed under Jay-Z,Rihanna

Rihanna’s ‘You Da One’ didn’t match the record-breaking impact of ‘We Found Love’ so she is prepared to try again. The Barbadian has announced the next release from her ‘Talk That Talk’ album and this time she will have the assistance of her mentor Jay-Z in her mission to score her 12th #1 song on the Billboard Hot 100.

‘Talk That Talk’ – the title track of the album – will be issued as Rihanna’s next single. Featuring Jay-Z, the tune was produced by StarGate, the production duo who were responsible for the 3 #1 singles – ‘Only Girl (In the World)’, ‘S&M’ and ‘What’s My Name? (Ft. Drake)’ – from Rihanna’s previous album, ‘Loud’, as well as her lone #1 song from her ‘Rated R’ LP, ‘Rude Boy’.

Rihanna’s ‘We Found Love’ was the longest-running #1 single of 2011. It held the peak position of the Hot 100 for 8 weeks and even outperformed Adele’s ‘Rolling in the Deep’, which dominated the chart for 7 weeks.

Naturally, Rihanna’s success has inflated her ego. She recently declared that she has no competition in the industry and is in a league of her own.

    Thoughts?

She must haven’t received the letter I sent her about taking a break. Rihanna needs to take a damn break and wholeheartedly revamp herself. Nobody is here for Talk That Talk, the single nor the album, so she needs to find the nearest La-Z-Boy and lay down her burdens.

if microwaveable mcfenty dare tie mariahs total no of number 1s, you know the apocalypse is coming

    • Jenna Capleton

Maybe one day someone will see through this gimmick. Anyone notice Rihanna has a bigger presence on twitter than on an actual stage? Because she cant perform! I refuse to be tricked anymore. Cute Songs Rihanna, but its time for a break.

    • olly_tei

That song is basic. I dont know why she’s beating around the bush, just release “where have you Been” already!

    • Joss

I can’t wait for her to release Where have you been and Drunk on love … You da 1 was mistake to release for 2nd single… it’s not single material at all, TTT had to be 2nd, but anyway there wasn’t any single at all who could surpass success We found love had… and she’s on her way for 9th week on number 1 in USA! and all the people who ‘Take Care’ for her, and tellin she must go on break, leave her alone, she’ll take a break, but NOT now, she has album out, she’s selling great, she will have next to thoose 3 announced singles, 2-3 more from album… and Take Care and Princess of China will be hits too! And I bet she’ll go on tour too… so TTT bi*atches

Absolutely co-sign with latifa and Jenna Capleton!!

    • Ugh

You Da One was such a stupid song for a single. Talk That Talk is just an okay song. they could’ve chosen something else but then again Jay-Z is on the track. I don’t know about this song going to #1 though. it’s basic.

No. I dont agree. Where Have You Been is great. She needs to release Where Have You Been before it loses its hype.

@DomodotScore… Is the Winner for the Most Hilarious comment ever!. Her team is very smart they are riding off of the Jay Z and Beyonce baby momentum. It just may work but then again I heard the Jay Z is release Glory on itunes (I’m really hoping that’s a rumor and not true because it sounds real opportunist to me?) Anyhoo, should be interesting if he does release Glory as single that may go to #1 on Billboard 100 sooner. Maybe?

    • Huh?!

I can’t imagine what her team is thinking with this single, it’s a horrible single choice, especially after ‘You Da One’. It’s obvious they are only going with this because it’s featuring Jay but that doesn’t mean he an make it a hit.

Her team is really missing the ball with this album. This album is probably her worst to date but there are still much better singles they could choice from. ‘Where Hve You Been’, ‘We All Want Love’ even ‘Roc Me Out’ which is basically just a repeat of ‘Rude Boy’. It’s obvious her team was just going for a bunch of catchy microwaveable hits with this album, because there is truly nothing of substance on the album, but you would think they would at least choose the best possible single choices.

If they are not even gonna put any effort into the album they might she might as well just take a break like everyone wants her to. She won’t be missed.

The thing is rihanna fans only like her pop, repetitive songs. i.e “we found love” “what’s my name” only girl in the world”. Anytime she strays from those kinds of songs ppl arent interested which are usually her ‘r&b/reggae infused type songs. As long as she continues to put out her best repetitive singles she good. If she and her team are smart they wont release any of her ballets either cause those wont get her a another #1.

EUGH, the WORST song on the album!

“Where Have You Been” would have been the wisest choice.

“Fool in Love” is probably the best song on the album though – she actually puts in an impressive vocal showing (shame about that nasal tone)

FUCK Y’ALL dat are saying that Riri should go for a break, its a critical time for her & she has 2 promote her singles. You da one isnt the perfect single to release. AGREED! But atleast its a catchy one dat can keep her fans awaiting for the next single, besides releasing two hit singles simultaneously is a risk, so it was the best thing she did, Talk That Talk is on her mind now and y’all will see that the single will blaze lyk FIRE! Rihanna is at the top of her game and she sure knows how to rock the mic. I cant wait for ‘drunk on love’ to be released. My best single so far!
