Just when it seemed that Americans finally had enough of Rihanna’s ‘We Found Love’, the tune has returned to the top of the Billboard Hot 100. After losing its grip of the peak position to LMFAO’s ‘Sexy & I Know It’, the track has rebounded to the summit of the chart and extended its reign as the longest-running #1 single of Rihanna’s career.

Rihanna’s ‘We Found Love’ has reclaimed the pole position of the Hot 100 for a 9th non-consecutive week. The song garnered over 152 million audience impressions and sold another 185K downloads at digital retailers.

‘We Found Love’ is the lead single from Rihanna’s ‘Talk That Talk’ LP, which has sold 541K copies in the US to date. Following the disappointing performance of the project’s 2nd release, ‘You Da One’, which peaked at #14 on the Hot 100, Rihanna has announced that the album’s title track will be issued as the 3rd official single from the record.

However, Rihanna’s domination of the Hot 100 might soon be ended as Adele’s ‘Set Fire To The Reign’ vaulted from #8 to #4 on the lineup. The tune is the British singer’s 3rd top 5 hit from her ’21′ album, which has notched its 15th week at #1 on the Billboard 200 and achieved a new sales total of 5.95 million copies. The LP is now ranked as the 2nd longest-running #1 album by a female artist in US history after outlasting the 14-week lead of Whitney Houston’s self-titled debut.
