Ashanti Scores With National Anthem Performance

Ashanti was criticised throughout her early career for her shaky live vocal performances but she has definitely matured into a talented singer. Indeed, the R&B songstress had the honor of performing the US national anthem, ‘The Star Spangled Banner’, at the Knicks vs. Lakers game earlier this week and she wowed the crowd with her vocal control.
Ashanti’s next major performance will be on ‘Good Morning America’ as part of the Winter Concert Series on February 13th. Watch her sing “Star Spangled Banner’ below:
With the exception of a few couple shabby notes, Ashanti certainly impressed with this performance. She has clearly been working on her vocals as she prepares for the strenuous promotional campaign involved with pushing her upcoming album. Hey, at least now there will be one less opportunity for people to insult her.
