Did you know that Chris Brown won his first and only Grammy Award to date at the 2012 Grammy Awards?

Prior to 2012, Brown had been nominated for eight Grammys, including Best New Artist, but failed to nab a single title. However, the 22-year old finally collected his first award – Best R&B Album for his ‘F.A.M.E.’ LP – at this year’s ceremony from three nods. That accomplishment has brought Brown’s career Grammy ratio to one win from 11 nominations.

Ironically, Brown’s win was cheered by Diana Ross who was among the Grammy audience. The diva was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the event but has yet to win a competitive Grammy of her own.

   I’m happy he won because F.A.M.E is a great album and he deserved to win something for the tremendous efforts he did to pull himself through.
   But I have to write this down: his performance was dry and boring. The singing AND the dancing were NOT good at all. I’m starting to think that he will never top his MJ tribute…
   Now that he is finally a grammy winner, he can pause himself and maybe smile again ON stage.
   In a twist of events that only God can create, something bigger and worst than the 2009 incident happened on Grammys eve 3 years later, something that will completely put the ChRihanna ordeal to rest. So it’s definitely time for new beginnings for Chris.

   I agree with Mishka on the last part in regards to the twist of fate. Maybe he can breathe somewhat. I believe he can top his MJ tribute if he could take a little time to focus. I believe since he is in so high of demand musically that he is unable to give 100% between the collabo with other artists, new album, movies, writing, directing sometimes it can be overwhelming and somethings suffers. But I am very proud and Congratz because it was a long time coming. I’m looking forward to a new chapter for him.

   I feel like he won the wrong Grammy LOL I thought he would’ve won the one for “Best Rap Performance”.
