‘Midnight’ peaked at #1 on the Hot 100 in October 1973 and held the top slot of the chart for just one week. However, the tune did earn the group a Grammy Award for Best R&B Vocal Performance By A Duo, Group or Chorus in 1974.

Additionally, ‘Midnight’ was honored with the Grammy Hall of Fame Award in 1999. The song is widely regarded as Knight & The Pips signature song and an iconic record from the 1970s Soul music movement.
