Did you know that Drake starred in a hit television series before he became a rapper?

Drake played the role of a basketball player named Jimmy Brooks in ‘Degrassi: The Next Generation’. He starred in the Canadian series for 138 episodes in which his character dealt with issues such as love, music and being handicapped.

In 2009, Drake’s role on ‘Degrassi’ came to an end when his character graduated. Watch a scene from Drake’s time on the show below:
