Did you know that Motown Records icon Tami Terrell died at the age of 24 years?
Known for her powerful yet sweet voice, Terrell tragically died on March 16th 1970 at the age of 24 years. Her death was caused by complications from brain cancer, which stemmed from a malignant brain tumour.
Terrell scored several hits top 40 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 throughout the 1960s while singing duets with Marvin Gaye. Among those songs were ‘You’re All I Need To Get By’, the original version of ‘Ain’t No Mountain High Enough’ and ‘Ain’t Nothing Like The Real Thing’.
