It has been a while since we heard new material from Melody Thornton. However, the former Pussycat Doll has released a new tune called ‘Lipstick&Guilt’ to give her a few fans a taste of the direction in which she is plotting for her upcoming projects.
‘Lipstick’ will appear on Thornton’s ‘P.O.Y.B.L.’ mixtape, which will debut on March 15th. The song is the first of several tunes that the she will issue in the coming weeks. In fact, Thornton will drop a new song every Monday and Thursday until ‘P.O.Y.B.L.’ is released in its entirety.
Listen to ‘Lipstick’ below:
It’s blatantly obvious that Thornton is a fan of Christina Aguilera because she has exhibited many of the latter’s bad habits. Her vocals were generally sloppy, she lack direction and she sounded as though she was trying to imitate soulful singing.
I honestly hope that Thornton finds herself and develops her craft before she releases her solo album. It is quite easy for the US market to dismiss her as a never was has-been so she needs to get her act together or else…

Terrible. Such an overrated ‘screamer’.
I like the song in itself. I think if someone else sung it it would be so much better. Her vocals was bad but they was good. But to me it is a good song.
I really like the song. Her vocal performance was alright to me. It fit the production.
