Toni Braxton promised to release her new single, ‘I Heart You’, in March and she has kept her word. The song, which demonstrates the contralto diva returning to her Dance music roots, has been issued as a special treat for her loyal fans as she readies her new studio album for its May debut.
‘I Heart You’ was written and produced by Braxton. She revealed additional details about her new project while chatting to ‘Fashion News Live’ in early February.

Obviously, there is little innovation that Braxton could have done with a Dance track in 2012 but what makes ‘I Heart You’ standout is her voice. Her dark timbre and rich tone make the simplest lyrics sound so passionate and dramatic!
Hopefully, Braxton doesn’t frame her entire new album with Dance tracks because she needs to create a powerful R&B/Pop ballad where the full extent of her voice could truly shine. Until that time, however, all we can do is wait for the final result…

I like it a lot! It’s simplistic yet such a great Dance record and very reminiscent to Dance music during the late 90′s and early 2000′s. Of course, her rich contralto is the highlight of the song. Great stuff!
I ♥ ‘I♥U’ !!!!!!! IMO, it is somewhat innovative and refreshing how Toni combined the elements of a ballad and dance music together. There are not too many artists who could display strong vocals on an uptempo song. I doubt the rest of her album will have a dance-pop sound. When she released “Please” as the first single from Libra, it wasn’t a valid indication to the great ballads and mid-tempos that were to come from that album.
I’m also excited that she finally has more control over the sound and direction of this album since she is not signed to a major label anymore. Good luck Toni, I’m trusting your artistic judgment and here’s to success this time around…

This is nice!!! It’s so different compared to the dance music that’s out now. I was hoping for a ballad in the beginning but this is even better!

I really like this; makes me move. Long time Toni fan and of course I love her ballads always. Didn’t think a dance tune other than ‘Man enough’ would get me going. With this one, I’m gone!! Great song, bring on the album!!
