Brandy Enlists Chris Brown For New Single

Brandy confirms Chris Brown duet during True Exclusives interview.
Monica’s ‘New Life‘ is set to tank on the Billboard 200 so Brandy isn’t taking any chances with her own album, ‘Two Eleven’. Indeed, the R&B singer has enlisted Chris Brown for the project’s lead single, ‘Put it Down’.
Brandy confirmed the news to True Exclusives during an interview where she spoke about working with Brown who sings and raps on ‘Put it Down’. Produced by Banglades and written by Sean Garrett, the tune will hit the airwaves within the next two weeks; just in time for the premiere of Brandy’s Vh1 ‘Behind the Music’ special.
To date, Brandy and Monica’s duet, ‘It All Belongs to Me’, has yet to enter the Billboard Hot 100, despite heavy promotion by the singers. However, it did manage to climb to #23 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

I’m super excited for the collaboration with Breezy! I have been waiting so long for them to work together. Their voices are so similar to me and I can’t wait to hear how their voices sound together! I’m not thrilled that Chris will be rappin on the song though. He needs to give it a rest with all the rappin, he ruins so many good r&b records with his agressive rapping style. I.E. ‘Lonely’ with Tank. It was perfect until Chris started rappin. SMH.
I just hope it doesn’t disappoint like her collaboration with Monica. There’s nothing worse than having your hopes up high for something and being let down. Excited to hear new music from Brandy either way. Since she has been off the scene for so long I think there is more excitement to hear music from her so hopefully she won’t be in the same boat as Monica when her album is released. Wishing her luck.

She don’t even write her own music. The same CANNOT be said about Brandy! And Brandy has more range! Musics Bible is back! All hail B-Rocka.
