Katy Perry Battles Through ‘American Idol’ Performance

Katy Perry performs on 'American Idol'.

Katy Perry hit the stage on ‘American Idol’ this evening to deliver an army-themed performance of her ‘Part of Me’ single. However, the Pop star found herself battling more than just imaginary enemies as she battled to sing the notes of her hit tune.

This wasn’t the first occasion where Perry struggled to handle ‘Part of Me’, though. Yet, at least she provided ample explosions, choreography and action to distract us from the fact she sounded like an injured cat.

   I didn’t think it was that bad actually… maybe the dancing, video and explosions distracted me… :shrugs:

   This was a good performance, this is what singing live and dancing at the same time sounds like. Not everyone is Beyonce

   Yes it’s difficult to sing and dance at the same time but, when you are the “super star” guest performer for a singing contest you should sing at least as well as the contestants and “show ‘em how it’s done”. Not look worse! I cringed when I watched it…she even looked nervous.
