Monica Talks Mariah Carey Duet On ‘Watch What Happens’

Monica guests on 'Watch What Happens Live'.

Monica has always expressed her admiration for the late Whitney Houston yet there is another iconic vocalist with whom she is eager to work. Who is the singer with the star power to make Monica to fly to any location to record a duet? None other than diva Mariah Carey.

When asked by a fan about a possible collaboration with Carey during her interview on ‘Watch What Happens Live’, Monica expressed excitement about the idea. In fact, she noted that Carey is “phenomenal” and has an “unbelievable” vocal range. As usual, Monica stated that she would remain in her alto comfort zone instead of pushing her voice to match Carey’s ability.

   Monica is a sweet girl and I wouldn’t mind hearing a song from these two ladies. It’s time for Mariah to work with other women, leave the rappers for a moment and try something new. Just take the duet w/ Whit or more recently the one w/ her mom as examples. They were awesome, hope she does it.
