Then known has Snoop Doggy Dogg, the rapper released ‘Doggystyle’ on November 1993. The LP entered Billboard 200 at the summit of the chart with sales exceeding 803K copies as the first debut album to achieve that feat.
‘Doggystyle’ has this far been certified 4x platinum by the RIAA as Snoop’s best-selling album in the US. The album yielded a pair of top 10 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 – ‘What’s My Name?’ and ‘Gin & Juice’ – both of which peaked at #8 on the lineup.
